Inbound Student Exchange
Experience life and study in New Zealand.
If you are currently studying in a country other than New Zealand, and your institute has an exchange partnership with us, you can experience the Kiwi lifestyle while studying at Ara for a semester. Imagine snowboarding in Queenstown, hiking in the Marlborough Sounds, mountain biking on the Port Hills or visiting a marae to learn about Māori culture – all while working towards your degree.
If your home institution is a partner institution and has an exchange agreement with us you can study here and pay tuition fees to your home institution. Depending on the agreement in place, there may be other costs you will need budget for such as accommodation, insurance, and textbooks.
Semester 1: February - June
Semester 2: July - November
You must be nominated by your home institution. Eligible degree level students choose to do either one or two semesters with us.
