Introduction to Electrical Engineering Trades One Day (Blended Delivery)

Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you’re still at school.

This course will equip you with fundamental skills and knowledge in electrical engineering. You’ll learn about electrical safety and safe working practices for electrical workers, and gain an understanding of mathematics and mechanics for electrical trades and electromotive force production. You’ll also learn and how to select and install flexible cords and how to apply electromagnetic theory to a range of problems. The course provides a pathway to the New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Theory) Level 3, and the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering – Electrical.

This programme is delivered one day per week at Woolston campus (Fridays 9am - 3pm).

*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year.
