Introduction to Welding and Thermal Cutting

Gain a foundation of basic welding skills

This course, intended for absolute beginners as well as those with some experience, aims to introduce basic knowledge and skills in Manual Metal Arc (Arc), Gas Metal Arc (Mig), Gas Tungsten Arc (Tig) and Oxy-Acetylene welding as well as Oxy-Acetylene and Plasma cutting.

Each of the five evening sessions focuses on a different process and covers safety requirements, setting up the equipment and basic welding or cutting of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn the basics, whether you’re working in a related trade, you’re a home handy person or you simply want to re-skill.
