Equip yourself with the tools and skills to identify and implement transformative innovation opportunities within an organisation or industry with this new, short course.
Delivered in partnership with Te Ōhaka, Ara’s centre for growth and innovation, you’ll learn how to analyse an organisation and its processes, pinpoint areas of opportunity, and develop a sound business case around it. You’ll also learn how to drive effective stakeholder engagement and create a culture of innovation that future-proofs the organisation and builds resilience.
Topics covered include design thinking, scoping and analysis, user journey map, types of innovations and developing solutions, user and customer engagement, sustainability and adoption, innovation tools, building innovative teams, and social impact.
This course runs once per week for 3 hours face-to-face on Wednesdays from 10 to 1pm (Semesters 1 and 2). It’s a 100-hours in total (approximately 10 hours per week commitment including independent learning and assessments) over 12 weeks with a two week school holiday break in between.
