To enable students to apply relevant tourism and hospitality theories and models, and leadership skills to the workplace
Use interpersonal skills and knowledge to motivate people to achieve desired performance.
Apply understandings of the unique New Zealand context including the use of Te Reo me ōna tikanga as appropriate.
Apply appropriate knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a hospitality and/or tourism business.
Identify management and leadership issues and develop problem solving processes to create effective solutions.
Critically evaluate current tourism and hospitality industry practice in relation to relevant theories, concepts and models.
Apply an academic inquiry process to investigate a current workplace practice.
Design and produce professional reports that meet international tourism and hospitality industry and academic standards.
