Documentary and Storytelling
To enable learners to analyse and illustrate the wider media and cultural environment utilising craft and academic skills to produce media content for publication.
The learning outcomes for this course are:
Apply storytelling skills to create content targeted to a specific audience.
Apply knowledge of the laws and ethical codes relevant to media practice.
Research and critique media issues and content, including Māori perspectives and representation.
Use te reo Māori and tikanga in a media context appropriate for bicultural Aotearoa New Zealand.
