Description

Demonstrate knowledge of working in gas contaminated environments in plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying.

Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental electrical safety in the workplace.

Isolate low-voltage electrical subcircuits and perform basic checks and tests to confirm isolation.

Provide first aid.

Provide basic life support.

Manage first aid in an emergency situation.

Work in plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying with consideration of other trades and services.

Describe ethical and legal considerations for plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying services.

Demonstrate knowledge of asbestos and safety measures for asbestos-related work.

Select, describe, use, and maintain tools for plumbing and drainlaying projects.

Describe obligations as an employee.

Complete an incident report.

Perform basic calculations used in a given trade situation.

Describe duties, rights, representation and the regulator in terms of New Zealand health and safety legislation.
