Regional delivery of Enrolled Nursing programme

Our blended delivery model enables you to study the New Zealand Diploma in Enrolled Nursing while residing in Nelson, Marlborough, South Canterbury and the West Coast.

The programme is delivered primarily online using self-directed video tutorials and Skype meetings with a Christchurch-based tutor. It includes five compulsory block courses and an orientation in Christchurch, but the majority of your learning is done in your own region, including six clinical placements with your local DHB and other health providers.

Your clinical placements give you the chance to gain experience and contacts with health providers and health practitioners in your region, which are very useful once you’ve graduated and you’re ready for employment.

Our blended delivery model has been proven to be successful; we also use it to deliver our Bachelor of Midwifery programme to students around the South Island. So if you’re based in the regions and you want a train to become an enrolled nurse without the upheaval of moving to Christchurch, this could be just what you’re looking for. If you are considering this option we strongly recommend you contact us for further information via
