Aniva Future Pacific Nurse Leaders (AFPNL) is a support programme for undergraduate and pre-registration nursing students of indigenous Pacific Island ancestry. All Aniva Future Leaders students receive a grant each semester to assist with the nursing specific costs of study such as, health screening, vaccinations, equipment, uniform and clinical placement travel.
Aniva Future Leaders also provides networking opportunities with senior Pacific Nurses to explore a wide range of nursing roles, and support for examination bootcamps and Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) State Final Examinations.
Eligibility
To join the Aniva Future Leaders programme, nursing students must be:
- a New Zealand citizen, resident or permanent resident at the time of application
- of indigenous Pacific Island descent* and able to provide evidence of indigenous Pacific Island ancestry
- pre-registration and currently enrolled in an approved nursing programme at a participating Tertiary institution
