This course aims to have students build on an established knowledge and understanding of Māori and indigenous health issues, taking a critical and reflective approach to focused enquiry into a particular area of special interest in Māori and indigenous health.

Description
Critically analyse the historical, political and social determinants of health that contribute to existing Māori health disparities in New Zealand.
Develop pro-equity personal health practice within a wider professional group based on current understandings of cultural competency.
Critically review an important area of professional practice in which a significant disparity exists for Māori and develop a strategic plan to address this.
