The learning outcomes for this course are:

Identify and utilise appropriate listening and responding skills to work effectively with transitioning to parenting whānau/family.

Apply communication skills to develop culturally safe relationships and demonstrate these in the context of transition to parenting education.

Explore and discuss concepts of self-determination and ways to support mātua/parent and whānau/family to make informed decisions.

Demonstrate and evaluate effective skills in searching for and assessing information to support the processes of facilitating informed decision making.
