  • Identify and address health and safety issues
  • Investigate and process maintenance requirements

  • Identify a suitable part for CNC machining
  • Identify and describe a suitable machining process plan
  • Write a manual part program to produce the part
  • Transfer the programme to the machine
  • Simulate and test the machining process and analyse the results
  • Edit the programme as necessary based on test results
  • Load the part appropriately
  • Machine the part
  • Assess and report on quality of processes and parts
  • Report on part quality and procedures and verify process and outcomes
