Introductory Welding

This course is intended for absolute beginners or those who may have already done some basic welding, those who wish to learn basic Manual Metal Arc Welding (Arc), Gas Metal Arc Welding (Mig), and oxyacetylene welding.

Safety requirements, setting up equipment and basic welding on mild steel are also covered in the course. It is suitable for the home handy person, panel beater, mechanic, farmer or engineering welder re-skilling.

This is an exam day for those who wish to qualify to AS/NZS2980:2007 in the Manual Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, or Flux Core Arc Welding processes. Exam includes test plates as per requirement standards of AS/NZS2980:2007.
