Prepare for entry-level roles within a wide range of retail and sales environments

Youth Guarantee programmes are FREE* and a great way to learn practical skills and gain a qualification. You can apply for these options if you're 16 to 19 years of age and no longer at school, or you're planning on leaving school.

This programme will help you develop the skills required to provide excellent customer service within a retail sales environment.

You'll gain skills in communication, health and safety, customer service and sales support, and be able to self-manage, problem-solve, understand consumer legislation and work within teams.

You'll receive Ara credits for this programme, these are tertiary study credits that can be used to enter further study at tertiary level in New Zealand.
