Take the first steps towards a career in the automotive industry or engineering trades.

Youth Guarantee programmes are FREE* and a great way to learn practical skills and gain a qualification. You can apply for these options if you're 16 to 19 years of age and no longer at school, or you're planning on leaving school.

Apply and gain hands on skills in MIG welding, Collision Repair, machine and hand tool operation, general engineering tasks, balance and fit road wheels.

You'll receive Ara credits for this programme, these are tertiary study credits that can be used to enter further study at tertiary level in New Zealand.

Academic requirements
  • If you're a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and are between 16 to 19 years old, you can apply to study regardless of the qualifications you've achieved at school.
