This course aims to provide an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge and skills applied by managers and leaders in health services to ensure the achievement of improved patient outcomes.
Utilise literature related to professional practice based leadership and management in the context of their own practice.
Critically analyse the role of legal, cultural and ethical issues in health services management and leadership.
Critically analyse clinical leadership and clinical governance issues in risk management and quality principles and systems within health services.
Critically review the political forces and barriers characteristic of the health care environment in order to propose how change in a selected health setting may be managed.
