Start/End 5th Oct 2018 9:00am-3:00pm Duration 6 hours Location Christchurch - City campus

Discover the concepts behind engineering design and testing through mechanical engineering projects.

Your challenge is to design and build a model rocket flight vehicle that can lift a fragile payload to a precise altitude, then return it safely to the ground. During the workshop you’ll visit the wind tunnel at Ara and experience our teaching style, facilities and the support provided to students studying Engineering and Architectural Studies at Ara.

This offering is for year 9, 10 and 11 students.

This is an Experience Ara offering. At Experience Ara you’ll get a feel for tertiary-level study with hands-on junior and senior tasters, information sessions, and holiday workshops or earn some extra credits with our assessed STAR courses in a wide range of subjects. To see our full range of offerings or to register for a place, visit Experience Ara for 2018.
