Access to one of the world’s best post-production facilities; it’s a work experience opportunity at the top level of the industry for two students from the New Zealand Broadcasting School (NZBS) at Ara Institute of Canterbury.

Ara is partnering with Park Road Post Production on an industry intensive experience for selected students from the school’s Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications (BBC) programme. This year’s programme dates are 4-15 September.

Park Road Post Production – 10 Day Industry Intensive is an unprecedented, experience-based programme that gives students one-on-one attention from experts in visual and sound techniques.

Built in 2003 in Miramar, Wellington, Park Road Post Production is part of the Weta Group and incorporates picture, sound, and exhibition post production services used by some of the world’s finest film directors and producers. The state-of-the-art equipment and stunning suites are internationally renowned, however the company’s reputation is built on the talent of their people.

The Ara students will join 16 other students from around New Zealand for a unique and valuable chance to experience the heart and soul of how traditional filmmaking meets digital technology, and to explore the incredible future of post-production. The new partnership is part of the way Ara prepares graduates to be work ready and develop industry connections.

The NZBS, with assistance from the Ara Foundation, will also fund two second year BBC students to attend the programme in 2017.
