Student exchange - going overseas

Our Student Exchange programme offers the opportunity to enjoy another culture, gain life skills, broaden your employment opportunities and live the overseas experience, without interruption to your studies.

Imagine spending the weekend exploring the Great Wall in China, climbing Tokyo Tower, cycling in the Netherlands, or kayaking in North Carolina - all after a week of studying towards your degree.

About Student Exchange

Eligible students studying towards their degrees can choose to do 6-12 months of their study at one of our many partner institutions all over the world.

The first step is to express your interest to the International Exchange Coordinator. You may then be nominated for the programme by your tutor or Head of Department. Once your application to study overseas is accepted and approved you remain enrolled with us during your exchange.

The courses you study may be credited towards your degree. There are also a variety of accommodation options: living with a host family or in designated hostels, apartments, or student lodgings.

We have a full time Student Exchange Coordinator who is available to advise on the options available to students. Please note that some destinations are programme specific.
