If you’re studying at Ara, or planning to, don’t miss the chance to save thousands of dollars in fees with an Ara scholarship. There are dozens of scholarships available across a wide range of subjects. You don’t have to be an academic over-achiever to be eligible – the majority of our scholarships are offered in order to help meet skills shortages in specific industries, or to encourage individuals from under-represented sectors of the community into higher education.
We encourage you to apply for a scholarship if you think you might be eligible. There’s no need to wait until you’ve been accepted into your programme, and late applications may be accepted for some scholarships.
You can find further scholarships and awards at Generosity New Zealand, which you can access by logging in at most council libraries and schools. If you’re studying a programme relating to primary industries, there are grants and scholarships available at Growing NZ . If you identify as Māori or Pasifika, there are further options available through Ngai Tahu and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.
Please read the Guidelines for Ara scholarships.
