Ara is offering scholarships for students returning to study, career changers, and school leavers. Farming plays a crucial part in New Zealand’s economy. A career in agriculture can lead you into management, farm management, and farm ownership or into business.

A great place to start or continue your learning journey is with our Farm Cadet Programme Level 3. This programme will develop your knowledge and capabilities in livestock handling, husbandry, milk harvesting, pasture management as well as farm machinery and safety.

This programme is delivered in a cadetship model. You will spend the first 13 weeks in full time study focusing on work place health and safety, riding quad and motorbikes and driving tractors and light utility vehicles.

Location: South Canterbury
