Programme Content

Gain a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to start a career in beauty therapy.

The Introduction to Beauty Therapy provides a foundation in beauty therapy practice and theory which you can build upon with higher level study. Taught by highly qualified and experienced tutors, it will give you an understanding of industry expectations, workplace safety, sustainability and current fashion trends in relation to hair and beauty industries.

You'll learn about the history of beauty therapy services and related products, explore the relevance of anatomy and physiology to beauty therapy, and gain skills to a basic level in mini manicures, mini facials, make-up application, eyebrow shaping and massage techniques. Personal hygiene, presentation and the importance of a positive image will also be covered.

Please note that you'll need to be prepared to perform and receive all treatments.
