This programme is delivered online to allow you to fit studies around your job. The programme of study will also be supported with three workshops where you will hear from experts in the Health and Safety field.
You can expect to learn how to implement health and safety requirements into your workplace, manage emergencies in specified workplaces, apply a health and safety plan, develop and implement a hazard management system, produce an occupational health and safety incident investigation, prepare health and safety information for management, facilitate hazard management in an occupational health and safety practice.
You will also be capable of operating professional, ethically and responsibly showing positive leadership.

To be a full time student you need to maintain a workload of 120 credits per year. We recommend you talk with us to ensure you choose electives to benefit your future career.

You must be currently working in a supervisory/ management position, or have access to management functions, with access to a computer.
If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact us for an assessment.
Note: If you have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance requirements you are not required to provide evidence of English Language Skills.
