Yes, then you could be a have a new career as a commercial driver of a Class 2 vehicle in only 17 weeks!

If your ambitions are to drive the big rigs, complete this level 2 programme and then continue to study on our Advanced Commercial Driver programme. In just one year if you complete both programmes your dream could become your reality.

This programme covers:

  • Personal presentation and positive attitude
  • Customer service skills
  • Stress, health, fatigue, work time and driver logbook
  • Pre-drive vehicle checks
  • Incident reporting and hazard identification
  • Safe manual handling practices in the workplace
  • Heavy motor vehicle systems and components
  • Rigid vehicle operations and dynamics
  • Be prepared to Class 2 licence

Optional Strands you may cover include:

  • Dangerous Goods where you will demonstrate the knowledge of legal, safe loading and operation of a heavy vehicle carrying dangerous goods.
  • Forklifting Operations where you will demonstrate the knowledge and skills of the use and loading of a heavy vehicle using a powered industrial lift truck.
