Content

Add to your salon skills to give yourself a strong start to a career in hairdressing.

This Level 4 programme has been designed to follow on from the New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support) Level 3. You'll continue to build on the skills and knowledge you've already acquired through a mix of tutorials, group projects, online and offsite visits, led by our expert tutors and using their extensive industry connections.

You'll learn about advanced hair and scalp analysis, the various types of foundation cutting and chemical and non-chemical services. You'll also design, develop and create long hair creative styles for special themes or events. During the programme, you'll create a portfolio which showcases your skills and you'll be taught the professional standards required of an emerging stylist.

Upon completion of this intensive second-year hairdressing course, you'll possess skills in advanced consultation, advanced cutting techniques, creative cutting and colouring, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
