About Agriculture

While agriculture offers the opportunity to be outside doing physical work, it's no longer just about growing crops and animal husbandry. In the modern world, agriculture involves many facets such as business, geography, sociology and conservation, and it can lead to a variety of career paths.

Studying Agriculture

Washdyke campus provides the perfect environment to commence a career in agriculture. Our facilities are authentic, enabling you to learn by applying theory to practical situations. This includes working with livestock, shifting irrigation and fences and riding motor cycles and tractors on daily basis.  You'll also learn key elements of animal health, livestock production, pastures, weather and water, and you can opt for our cadetship which allows you to work on stakeholder farms while studying in class two days a week.
