  • New Zealand Institute of Chemistry - representing some 1000 members involved in the profession of chemistry, who participate in the study, practice, teaching, promotion and management of chemistry.
  • New Zealand Soil Science Society - the New Zealand Society of Soil Science is a professional society to encourage the advancement of soil science.
  • New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology - the New Zealand society for food industry professionals, providing trusted and independent leadership in food science and technology.
  • New Zealand Microbiological Society - fostering and disseminating knowledge of microbiology in New Zealand.
  • New Zealand Ecological Society - promotes the study of ecology and the application of ecological knowledge in all its aspects.
  • Royal Society of New Zealand - is a federation of around 60 scientific and technological societies, and individual members. It promotes a critical awareness of science and technology in the community. It publishes seven academic journals, offers science advice to government, and fosters international scientific contact and co-operation.
