The tourism and hair and beauty sectors have one very strong similarity: they’re all focused on providing positive consumer experiences. To succeed in any of these areas you’ll need to enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life, and have a commitment to excellent customer service. On top of this, you’ll need industry relevant skills. Once you have these, you can explore the diverse opportunities for employment that these sectors offer and maybe one day establish your own tourism or hair and beauty business.
Study Pathways
Our Youth Pathways programmes in tourism and hair and beauty all lead on to higher level qualifications in these and related areas. We have a range of certificates, diplomas and degrees to enhance your skills and there are study options that will enable you to progress your career to a senior level (for example, the Bachelor of Applied Management which has specialities in retail management and hospitality management).
