Come along to PITCH on Saturday 26 November at The Whareora, Ara City Campus, Madras Street at 8.30pm.
Each year, Ara presents an end of year fashion show PITCH.
PITCH presents work by all students in our fashion programme from first year to final year. The calibre of the works is outstanding and demonstrates the strong focus our school places on applied skills.
An important but less well known component of PITCH is the annual Model Auditions the Fashion School holds in October. This is a great opportunity to try your hand at modelling. Every year one amateur model is awarded a Portfolio Model Agency contract, the gateway to a professional career.
PITCH has become a recognised and innovative fixture on the New Zealand fashion calendar, supported and endorsed by many of our most established designers and influential fashion industry representatives.
When you watch a PITCH parade you're in for a thrill. Francis Hooper, designer for WORLD, who has twice appeared as a guest judge, says the show is 'just cool'.
Fashion students from Years one to three present outfits that show off their skill and verve.
The presentations by the first two years' students are built on their combined output during the year. For the Year 3 students, PITCH showcases their second collection they will have made and presented during the year.
