Come along to the Ripe exhibition on display from Tuesday 21 November to Friday 1 December in the Rakaia Centre and CPSA Building, Ara City Campus, Madras Street from 9.00am-5.00pm each day.
Each year Christchurch Art and Design students who are completing their qualifications present RIPE, an exhibition of the best work from the major projects that culminate their studies. This is a chance for friends and family to come and celebrate their achievements, the outcome of several years study. It can also be a chance to sell work to the public, and of course a chance to show their abilities to potential employers (many of whom are invited to the show).
Work is presented by students in Visual Communication, Photography, Applied Visual Art and Motion Design. It ranges from drawing, prints and sculptures, through posters, publications, films and animations. Ripe will be presented in the Rakaia Atrium and the CPSA Building for two weeks. It is a great opportunity for intending students to come and see where study at Ara might take them.
At the opening of the show on 21 November we also have the opportunity to celebrate the academic successes of our students with the award of various prizes, including scholarships from the Noeline McIlroy Bequest, the Will Cumming Memorial Art Award, and the Megabits Maxon Award for 3D Digital Modelling.
