Identifying the need for employers and staff to upskill while in full or part time employment, the Chamber and Ara have collaborated to offer discounted online courses to our community.

Wendy Smith, CE of SCCC said, “there is a clear need for people to be able to study and upskill while in employment or at home looking after families. Ara Institute of Canterbury, our local tertiary education provider, has responded to this need by increasing the range of offerings available locally and partnering with the Chamber to reduce the cost of study.  With sufficient numbers enrolling in these on line courses, workshops may be available to contextualise the learning.”

The programmes to be offered in 2017 are:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Project Management Level 4
  • National Diploma in Business Administration Level 5
  • National Diploma in Business Level 5
