Research paper acknowledged at ANZCA Conference

New Zealand Broadcasting School (NZBS) radio programme graduate Kris Vavasour, has been awarded the prestigious Grant Noble prize for the best post-graduate paper at the Australian and New Zealand Communication Association conference (ANZCA). The conference is the preeminent conference for communications in the Australasian region, and was held at the University of Waikato in early July.
Kris, who is now also a tutor for the NZBS degree programme, is currently a post-graduate student at the University of Canterbury and her paper, 'Music to watch girls by: Pop songs and carnival culture at the 2007 Netball World Championships' will soon be published in the Australian Journal of Communication.
