Following a sell-out season in Christchurch, No Limits and CPIT are taking their latest production, Through My Father’s Eyes, to Ashburton on 10 December, Oamaru on 12 December and back to Christchurch at the University of Canterbury for 13 December.

The No Limits group of Pasifika students from Christchurch secondary schools and CPIT’s National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) moved their audiences to tears during performances in October as they explored the sacrifices made by their parents to provide a better life in New Zealand.

No Limits, led by Sela Faletolu from CPIT and Silivelio Fasi encourages Pasifika students to explore cultural identity and define what their own success in life might look like. The group becomes like a family and achieves high levels of professionalism in their work.

Through My Father’s Eyes was created during a school holiday programme at CPIT. Previous productions have inspired parents, principals and politicians and the success of the approach has attracted attention from educators in New Zealand and overseas.

No Limits! Through My Father’s Eyes, Saturday 13 December, 6pm and 7.30pm, Jack Mann Auditorium, UC. Tickets available at CMPA office, Rakaia Centre, CPIT.
