Certificate in Travel Operations students had the unique opportunity to explore a Boeing 777 and experience the luxury of business class from check in to on board with Singapore Airlines. The annual trip is invaluable to students as part of their airline operations and Asia as a destination study topics.

“Experiencing Singapore Airlines gives our students better sales knowledge and an in-depth understanding of airport and airline processes. This is very helpful when they enter the workforce in areas such as travel consulting,” Tracey Coulthard, CPIT Travel Programme Coordinator, says.

CPIT is the only travel operations provider who has access to Singapore Airlines for class trips due to a strong industry relationship with the international airline. Students this year also had the opportunity to tour aviation security and examine the luggage checking processes.

Coulthard is excited about the prospects for this years’ students with almost half of the class already offered full-time employment in the region.

“This is the best year yet for job offerings among our students. Our graduates are very well-regarded within the travel sector,” Coulthard says.
