Outstanding engineering projects were celebrated by industry and tutors alike last night at the Ara Engineering Awards.

The awards were for the project component of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology, which has specialisations in civil, mechanical and electrical.

Tom Cronje, programme leader for the Bachelor of Engineering Technology, noted in his speech at the event that while a minimum of 400 hours is required by students to complete on their projects, some high achieving students will spend 1200-1500 hours on taking their projects to the next level.
