Ellerslie - CPIT's silver and gold

CPIT architectural studies students raised their glasses to a job well done today when their rooftop garden designs won gold and silver awards at the Ellerslie International Flower Show.

‘One Tree Roof’ by Darryl Jacobson, Innes Johnstone, Shannon Neilson and Gertrude Gloria utilised recycled materials and potted cacti, taking out a silver award at the judging of the Emerging Designs competition.

'Framed' by Sam Paterson, Blake McCutcheon, Sarah Rigden and John-Paul McGilion, took home the gold award for a modern and low maintenance design.

Meanwhile Sam Paterson, Blake McCutcheon, Sarah Rigden and John-Paul McGlion were awarded gold for a modern and low maintenance design titled ‘Framed’.

The two teams designed and constructed their gardens with support from the CPIT Foundation.

Ellerslie International Flower Show opens to the public tomorrow 6 March until 10 March.
