Rapid prototyping

Our new 3D printer, acquired with a grant from the Ara Foundation, converts 3D digital computer designs into solid models. The strength of the materials allows a prototype to be tested for functionality, as well as for proof of concept and aesthetics.

Rapid prototyping technology can fast track innovation and assist industry to develop ideas, respond to market signals more quickly in cost effective way.

The 3D printer also provides students in engineering, art and design, architecture and other business entities.

We encourage industry to utilise our 3D printer as it is advantageous in innovation and cost efficiency.
