The reason Jim Huang decided to become a CPIT student ambassador was because he wanted to help school leavers choose where to study, and convince them that they should consider CPIT.
Jim knows from experience how difficult it is to filter through information and opinions on study options. He hopes his suggestions can give them a general direction and "clarify a few things for them".
A former Burnside High School student, Jim initially studied engineering at university before switching to visual communication at CPIT. He likes the balance between hands-on work and theory and says CPIT is a flexible and practical institute where staff are approachable and friendly. He says the tutors real-world experience makes their opinions "extremely valuable".
