Japanese university student Natsuho Suto is determined to learn English. "I want to study English hard," she says. "It's really important for me because I want to use English to help foreign tourists in Japan."
Natsuho worked part time at a restaurant while at university to save money to come to New Zealand. CPIT (now Ara Institute of Canterbury) is a sister school to Natsuho's university in Japan so it was an obvious place to come.
"It's very nice here. I can learn really useful English which I can't in my country, and I can practise speaking it. The teachers are really kind, I can count on them."
Natsuho has enjoyed meeting people from all over the world here. "One of the best things is the chance to talk to friends from many different countries."
