Gain the practical skills and knowledge required to prepare food safely in a commercial kitchen environment. This course covers all basic skills and etiquettes when cooking and handling different types of food, and provides compliance for most food service premises.

Learning outcomes

  • Maintain personal hygiene; demonstrate knowledge of contamination hazards and skills to prevent cross contamination when working with food.
  • Measure, record and act on temperature of high risk food.
